. they keep coming to the same conclusion. there is about 6% of u.s. adolescents that are clinically depressed. that's not just sad. it's in a deep state that need help of one type or another. whether it's counseling or drugs or whatever. they need some help. they're relatively easy to identify. and you can do it in a simple screening process. for very little money. we could have every kid when you get your high school physical, you also have to get checked out, or periodically before graduation. because the thing is, most depressives, kids want to -- they want help. and they will tell adults. usually the two adults they will not tell are their mom and their dad. and that's actually part of the screening protocol is that parents can't be in the room, because they will usually tell a teacher or a counselor or a family doctor. they will tell an adult, but they hide it from their parents because they're embarrassed, ashamed, all sorts of different reasons. so the parents are often blind to it because the child is sort of blocking their view. so parents have difficulty. but yeah, we can do so much

in china eventual l. maybe not this quarter. while the u.s., i think, is strong because of foot locker, but some analyst came out today and said u.s. is even weak. remember, nike trades on futures orders, not on earnings. so if you're dumb enough to want to trade in after hours, be aware, you might be trading on the wrong number. friday. these are big brand names. what a big week next week. friday we get results from walgreen's. i feel badly for wag. we just heard from cvs yesterday which boosted its numbers. that's a tough comparison to go against. i don't know how walgreen's can keep up. i will say this, though, the drug stores have been in secular share take mode from other stores, which is one reason why cvs was able to deliver such a strong number p. and i think walgreen's will show better numbers now that it's put its express scripts tiff behind it. moving over to cvs. that was really he helpful for cvs. there is only one issue to get my arms around here, the gigantic purchase of alliance boots. and whether walgreen's is swallowing more than it can chew. be ready for the heimlich

with personal experience with gun violence, u.s. congresswoman carolyn who lost her husband in a 1993 mass shooting on a commuter train. by the way, we called the nra, the national rifle association hoping to get someone from that organization on tonight. they said they're not commenting until more information is thoroughly known in this case. congresswoman, thank you so much for coming on. i know this brings it all back, but i thought it was great. i said we've got to get carolyn mccarthy because her reason to be in public life, to take on the voters to deal with the public life was this issue of the horror that hit your husband. >> and it was. you know, it's not funny, but, yesterday, in my office, we sat down to plan what we were going to do for the next term. and i said, listen, i came here to congress to reduce gun violence. we have to do something about it. the president's words meant a lot to me today because his tone was different. we have to take this head on. and i know that the white house had said earlier that this was not a time to talk about gun violence. you know what? they'

, a little bit at the margins when we're talking about the size that we have, in the u.s., compared to the next country which is almost double, right? if we're really serious about the gun violence in this country, we need something much bigger and more comprehensive than the kinds of relatively small bits of legislation that's being advocating. >> so you're really describing the public health approach to gun violence which say very important part of our discussion. if you look at the suicide part of it, most people who have been depressed seem help other ways. there's points of entry, sometimes, in hospitals and public hospitals. so you can put a program in eye ahospital that would, if they see a man who is coming it in who just lost this job. and the people who kill themselves are in a very are specific age category group. they are young males between the ages of 15 and 20. and they're older males between the ages of 55 and 65. so you can set up a protocol, where people discussed with them and said, do you have guns in your home? which is what the pediatricians are trying to do. >
